The PC and console gaming market generated $92.3 billion in 2022.
In 2022, the total revenue of the PC and console market reached $92.3 billion, down -2.2% in one year. Average play time also saw a decline, dropping 23% between 2021 and 2022 on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation. So it’s no surprise that sales plummeted when the world reopened and live entertainment options were restored. Many companies have also pushed back their highly anticipated titles from 2022 to 2023 and beyond due to the loss of game time and revenue.
