Digital wands ready! Hogwarts Legacy is an action role-playing game developed by Avalance Studios and published by Portkey Games (owned by Warner Bros. Games). The title, which invites players to enroll as students at Hogwarts in the late 19th century, was introduced in 2018 and finally released on February 10th of this year.So far, Hogwarts Legacy has been a huge commercial success and has attracted a huge player base.
Hogwarts Legacy sold 12 million copies in the first two weeks.
Hogwarts Legacy has grossed over $1 billion to date and has lured legions of players to the fantasy land first introduced in 1997. Reportedly sold over 12 million copies in the first two weeks.
It was released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series XS and PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch will launch in spring. It’s Portkey’s best-selling title to date, also matching Elden Ring’s first two weeks of sales.

At the time of publication, Hogwarts Legacy had the 5th highest MAU (Monthly Active User Count) on PC and consoles.
The only titles to pass the MAU in February were Fortnite, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, Minecraft, and Grand Theft Auto V.
In February, 68% of active users were playing on PC.PlayStation players made up 23% of the player base, while only 9% played on Xbox.
PC is currently the most popular platform for Hogwarts Legacy, due in part to the relatively low number of installs of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series XS. That could change when the game launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in May and on Nintendo Switch in July.
